Our Story
UC Care Senior Living is a women-owned, family-operated business that has contributed to improving quality of life of the elderly populations in San Diego County since 2001.
Over 21 years ago, we had a dream to help our aging community. We saw a huge need in the industry. Although numerous assisted living and memory care facilities existed, not nearly enough of them provided the level of personal, individualized care that truly turns a facility into a home.
We envisioned a space where residents are treated like family, and are uplifted to live a life full of connection, community and support.
We desired to create a space where WE wanted to be - our parents now, and ourselves in the future. So we set out to make that happen.
The more we grow within San Diego county, the more fulfilled we feel. We’ve built remarkable relationships within the community. And we’re reminded every day that our hard work and dedication to the wellbeing of our residents is making a positive impact.

UC Care Senior Living’s team of qualified, compassionate Care Managers are ready to serve you and your loved one.
When we speak of creating a family environment within our facilities, we have our dedicated team of Care Managers to thank for that!
We have 20 full-time CM’s on staff, and many of them have been with us from the very beginning of the company. They each bring unique talents and areas of expertise that contributes to the successful relationships we’re able to create with residents and their families.
Each California State licensed Care Manager completes a rigorous background check and health screening prior to employment. Then they participate in an intensive 80 hour on-site training program when they come on board. Each year, an additional 40+ hours of continuing education is provided to keep our CM’s at the top of their field.

Throughout her entire career, Flora has been a person who loves to give and work with those in need. She’s worked in several capacities within community care licensing in the state of California, and truly found her life’s calling when she discovered her passion for assisted living and memory care.
Derek Posada
Facilities Manager
Derek has been a important part of the care for our residents for over 8 years.
He oversees the management to make sure all is in good repair for the safety of our residents family members and staff.
